It is hard to see where some stories begin, and more difficult still to know their ending. Our lives are so much a continuum; a constant flow of events, each merging with the next in steady measure. Yet, our stories somehow stand apart from each other. They demand our attention. Capture our imagination. And like the points of a compass, the stories of our past guide us to our future. Our stories teach us our lessons; give shape and substance to understanding, and point clearly to the directions we will travel. Our stories then become the north, south, east and west of our lives. It is through our stories, these points on our compass, that we define ourselves... to ourselves... and for others to know.

In each of our lives, there is one story above all others. It may be past, or perhaps yet to come, but it is there... somewhere... deep within each of us. It is the goal we most desire. And that one story, that one all consuming direction, is undeniable. We have no choice but to follow, and no desire to do otherwise. More now than a direction to follow, it is the star that guides us.

This, then, is our story now. The story that we choose to share... and want the world to know!
